Barry’s Bootcamp Skinny PB Smoothie Re-BOOT!

On a recent visit to Los Angeles, I was in search of a good post-workout smoothie after my favorite SoulCycle class in Hollywood, when a front desk staff member recommended the Fuel Bar at Barry’s Bootcamp across the street. Being #basic, I was entranced by their Skinny PB smoothie option – packed with protein and low on the sugar. I ordered a vanilla and slurped down the whole thing before my Uber could arrive and take me away.


As soon as I got home I made an effort to recreate the delicious peanut butter, banana and vanilla flavor and came up with the following recipe.Processed with VSCO with q1 preset


Processed with VSCO with q1 presetIngredients: 1 cup of almond or cashew milk, 1/2 banana, 3 tbs PB2 powdered peanut butter, half a packet of Vega Vanilla Protein Powder, ice and cold water.


Place 4-5 ice cubes in blender.

Add 3 tbs PB2 or your favorite powdered peanut butter.

Scoop in half a packet of vanilla protein powder.

Slice half a banana and add in the slices.

Fill blender with 1-2 cups of almond cashew milk.

Add additional cold water for a “skinnier” (less creamy) flavor.
